A snowflake flower… is there such a thing?
This pattern was named Snowflake Flower on a quiet winter’s day, as I sat by the window and watched snowflakes tumble softly from a pale sky. There was something in their silent drift that echoed in the pattern before me — part snowflake, part bloom, delicate yet structured.
A friend thought of Middle Eastern/Moorish motifs when she saw it and I can’t but wonder: what might you see in it?
Since it is for the Folkesdotter Black & White Shop, it is “just” black and white but I think that the ornate black should do well with other colours as well. I might experiment and put some colour combinations in another shop, I usually think combining colours with black makes them stand out and give an extra boost..
The pattern is an aesthetic minimalistic design that feels both timeless and modern, and I have added it to a few products already, you can see them in the design collection (image link above). I think there are more items that would look nice with this design, both in home decor and clothing so more might be added to the collection later on.
